Currently, I serve as the Design Lead & Manager at TikTok Shop, where I spearhead the development of our design system and craft innovative products to empower sellers on our platform. Joining TikTok Shop as the first design hire, I've played a pivotal role in its launch in the US.
Before my tenure at TikTok, I was the Design Lead at Long Dash, where I led impactful UX projects, harnessing my expertise to drive user-centric design solutions. I also spent several years at Google as a Lead Interaction Designer, contributing to optimizing data center operations by developing sophisticated tools utilized by flagship products such as YouTube and Search.
My journey into design entrepreneurship began with the founding of Begriff Design, where I established a thriving consultancy based in London, catering to esteemed clients, including Google, Nintendo, Burberry, and Hewlett Packard. Relocating to San Francisco, I continued to nurture Begriff Design, leveraging my creative vision and strategic insights to deliver bespoke design solutions that resonated with global audiences.

While at TikTok, I led essential initiatives to improve the platform's functionality and user experience. One standout accomplishment was my role in enhancing the design system and developing products to support sellers on the platform, ultimately contributing to their success. Additionally, I played a significant part in the successful launch of TikTok Shop in the US, highlighting our dedication to delivering practical solutions that resonate with users and sellers alike. It was a collaborative effort driven by a shared goal of making TikTok Shop a valuable and user-friendly platform for all involved.
Long Dash
2021 – 2023
During my time at Long Dash, I led a significant project partnering with Clear to revamp their design language and enhance their overall user experience. It was a collaborative effort focused on understanding Clear's brand identity and their customers' needs. Through strategic design decisions and user-centric approaches, we improved Clear's visual design and streamlined their customer service experience. Our work wasn't just about aesthetics; it was about delivering practical solutions that made a tangible difference for Clear and their users.
2018–2021
At Google, I led a team on a mission to revolutionize how data centers operated. It wasn't just about numbers and efficiency but about creating solutions that made a difference. As Lead Interaction Designer, I poured my heart into developing tools that simplified complex processes, allowing teams working on products like YouTube, Search, and Ads to do what they do best without unnecessary hurdles. Seeing the impact of our work, not just in terms of cost savings but also in the smiles it brought to our colleagues' faces, was incredibly rewarding.
